Love hearing the rhythm of my sleeping baby’s breathing, January 10, 2012

I’ve used the baby monitor for more than one year already, since we moved into a larger house where we could not hear our then 1 year old son crying in his bedroom from our downstairs family room. The product has very good sound clarity with only slight white noise when the volume is turned very high. We like to crank the volume higher so that we can listen to the rhythm of our son breathing. Ever since we bought the monitor, our son gradually stopped crying when he wakes up in the middle of the night and started “talking” with his very limited vocabulary—he learned that we could hear him and react to his needs without crying, and he have became a much happier baby.

The rechargeable design of the receiver is very convenient and we could use it continuously for hours without charging. The configurable 27 channels comes in handy when you live in a more populated neighborhood or in apartments. However, I do agree with other reviews that its range is somehow limited.

Overall, we highly recommend all moms and dads buy one of these very nicely designed and built sony baby monitors.
